RIGID CHAIN TECHNOLOGY
Power-Lift Limited proudly presents the Push chain also called Rigid Chain technology for very heavy duty scissor lift tables and lifting platforms, specially developed for the automotive industry. Power-Lift can supply bespoke lifts for unique requirements.
HORIZONTAL TO VERTICAL RIGID COLUMN
A series of precision engineered links hinged together to form a flexible chain that when pushed from horizontal to vertical forms a rigid column capable of lifting and supporting large loads with precision.
RIGID CHAIN TECHNOLOGY
Rigid chain technology enables very high and demanding performance criteria to be met. The Rigid Chain system works almost maintenance free, without oil and grease. The prototype test unit performed over 1.5 million cycles and when examined showed minimal signs of wear. We would therefore expect a working life in excess of 2 million cycles under many circumstances.

NO HYDRAULIC FLUIDS
The Power-Lift Rigid Chain Lift is purely mechanical and does not use hydraulic fluids. Rigid chain technology can be used in clean rooms, laboratories and nuclear facilities. They are also used in paint cells where air borne particulates would damage the surface finish. The components are easily accessible for inspection and maintenance. Replacement of parts should be simple and fast.
Rigid push chains act vertically under the load and reduce load forces on the main scissor bearings. Therefore they have a 1:1 efficiency rather than a 1:7 efficiency as would be typical for a hydraulic scissor lift table / platform. The lifting force is constant through the lift stroke / travel.
PRECISION CONTROL IN BOTH DIRECTIONS
Rigid chains / Push-Pull chains provide precision control in both directions. Speed of operation can exceed 500mm. a second and controlled by a frequency controller. Positioning can be done with encoders.
Increasingly Rigid Chain lifts are being utilised by the Automotive industry.
Power-Lifts smallest chain will lift 1.5 tonnes through a distance of up to 1500mm. The largest chain will lift 3 tonnes up to 6 metres. Greater loads can be lifted with multiple push chains.
